MooCoo Ventures started with a simple question: how do numbers, people, and purpose come together to create real, lasting value?
Co-founders Richard Moore (“Moo”) and Brian Cooke (“Coo”) shared a straightforward vision—to make angel investing more open, professional, and genuinely human. After years navigating capital markets and tech, they knew early-stage investing could change lives and businesses. But too often, it felt opaque and haphazard.
For Richard, this is personal. His career—rooted in mathematics, finance, and a decade with Brisbane Angels—has led to around 80 investments and multiple nods as Australia’s most active angel investor. That hands-on experience is the heartbeat of MooCoo.

MooCoo Ventures is the exclusive manager of Brisbane Angels, widely regarded as Australia’s most active and successful angel group.
Over more than 18 years, Brisbane Angels has backed around 150 companies and delivered a 15-year IRR of 22% (2010–2024). The results reflect a disciplined, collaborative approach to early stage investing that has stood the test of time.
Each year, the group invests in roughly 15 new companies and supports a similar number of follow-on rounds, creating a steady pipeline of carefully selected opportunities.
Through MooCoo Ventures, you can invest alongside Brisbane Angels, and our two founders; giving access to the same deal flow and investment discipline that underpin the group’s long-term performance.
How It Works
MooCoo Ventures has an exclusive agreement to manage Brisbane Angels, widely recognised as Australia’s most successful and active angel group.
With over 150 investments over it’s 18 year history – the group has delivered an IRR of 22% since 2010, and proven that a collaborative, disciplined approach to early-stage investing delivers exceptional results.
Each year, the group invests in around 12 new companies and a similar number of follow-on rounds, creating a constant flow of curated opportunities for syndicate members.
Through MooCoo Ventures, you can co-invest alongside Brisbane Angels, Richard, and Brian – gaining access to the same high-quality deal flow and professional processes that have driven Brisbane Angels’ long term success.

Launch Offer
Participation is limited to Sophisticated Investors and applicants must provide a Qualified Accountant’s Certificate (or equivalent under the wholesale investor provisions) confirming their eligibility, as required by Australian securities law.
Transparency is central to how we operate. Each investment is subject to a 6% lifetime investment fee and a 15% carried interest on realised profits. Carried interest ensures the we win only when investors do, aligning incentives for shared success.
The first 25 investors who sign up and invest at least the minimum $2,500 in their first deal will receive a reduced carried interest of 12%, grandfathered forever. Our fees are highly competitive with industry standards, but our alignment and experience truly set us apart.
